Pat Nowak, and audio tech Tony D'Annunzio spent
the entire Super Bowl week with Gilbert Gottfried for ESPN2's
Cold Pizza. Taking a decidedly un-athletic approach to the
festivities, Gilbert
led our boys on a merry chase that included a personalized tour
of Detroit with Lomas Brown, a taste of the NFL
Experience (training camp can't really be like this, can it?),
taking a turn at being an ESPN host with help from Chris
Berman, Michael Irving, and Joe Theisman, and
plenty of off-beat interviews with players and celebrities.
"I expected Gilbert to be as wacky and irreverent as his
on-screen personality," commented Tony, "but I was
surprised at how talented and gracious a host he turned out to
be. We spent a lot of hours together, and it was a lot of work,
but without a doubt we had a total blast!" |
